It’s February which means it is time for another Flower Challenge! This month the challenge is to use leaves with our floral image.Â

Here is my card this month.
I love using this Crown Bloom set from Altenew with the big bold leaves and thought it would be perfect for this month’s challenge.
I started by die cutting the flowers and leaves on a blank sheet of Neenah cardstock. I then used this as a guide when layering my images so that I could stamp multiple leaves at once without changing the placement of my stamp in my MISTI. For the layered flower I used Pinkalicious, and Rubellita and the Ocean Waves and Dusk. For leaves I used Valcano Lake and Lagoon.
Once the image was dry, I decided to use some tips from Kathy Racoosin’s Online Coloring Class and add a little more depth to my images with colored pencils. I also added a little white gel pen to the center of the flower.
Once I was happy with the look, I die cut a seperate piece of white cardstock with the Altenew Doodled Dots and arranged the leaves and flowers. I propped up the flower to give it a little more dimension.
I used the sentiment from the Focus On You set and white heat embossed it. I finished the card with some sequins. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get a chance to visit the other beautiful cards from our Design Team members as well as play along with us this month!
