Happy May! I’m over on the Topflight Stamps blog continuing our weekly theme of “Summer” with this fun flower card using PaperArtsy Zinski set.
This is such a fun set to color up. The main image is a cute elephant, but for the summer theme, I wanted to use the flowers.
I started by stamping the flowers with Spun Sugar Distress Ink so I could do some no0line watercoloring with my Karin Brushmarkers. I colored up the whole panel, however had a small disaster when some water spilled on half of my work. I took a breath and decided to cut the panel down and save what I could.
I used some distress ink blending on the top and heat embossed the Katzelkraft Dreamer sentiment with some WOW! Embossing.
I finished my card by placing it on some purple card stock for a frame and added it to some patterned paper. I embellished portions with a white gel pen for some added fun.
