I’m so excited to share with you the 4th April stamp release from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps and a fun Blog Hop to celebrate with them. This week is all about flowers which I absolutely love! I love coloring flowers so I picked this Sunflower and colored it in a non-sunflower color just for fun. I started out with Bristol Smooth paper and stamped the image in Inkon3 Fade Out ink for some no-line watercoloring.
I used Karin Brushmarkers and laid down a layer of the lightest color. I then went back with the darker color to add shading. Once I was happy with the watercolor look, I went back with my colored pencils to add some fine lines to the image as well as shading.
I love the depth this adds to the image. I then added a light blue wash to the background and stamped this new Days Filled with Sunshine sentiment which is one sale!
To finish my card, I added some gold paint splatters.
