Flower Challenge Reminder

Happy Monday! It’s mid August (wow that went fast) and as I am preparing my classroom for another school year, it is also time to create a reminder card for The Flower Challenge. This month its about circles.

I was looking in my stencils and came across this fun circle stencil from Winnie & Walter and thought it would be fun to make a background with Color Burst pigment powers.

I placed my stencil on watercolor paper and lightly sprinkled the powder on top and then spritzed the paper to activate the powder. I took a leftover stamp packaging and smooshed the stencil down to help move the color around. I left my paper to dry and went to color up my flower.

I stamped an older set from Altenew called Penned Rose in Versa Clair black ink on Bristol Smooth paper and clear heat embossed it. I then colored up the rose with my Zig Clean Color Markers.

Once everything was dry, I used foam tape to attach my bloom to my background and stamped and mounted my sentiment. I finished my card with some clear drop embellishments.
