It was a hard choice this month to pick my favorite flower (kind of like picking your favorite child). I love them all and decided that my favorite is actually a big bloom and probably a Peony! For my card this month, I used the Colorado Craft Company Missing You Peony.
I stamped my flower in Gina K Amalgam Barely There ink for a no-line watercoloring look. I used my Daniel Smith watercolors to paint the big blossom.
Once my painting was dry, I used colored pencils to add some details and shading.
I stamped the sentiment included in the set and attached some gold thread behind the sentiment and attached it with foam tape. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week and get a chance to check out the other beautiful cards from the design team.

Hi Ericka! I adore peonies, but I’m having a hard time getting them to flourish in our current garden! Perhaps I should stick to the paper ones?

Such a beautiful card Ericka, love the colours. I so have to try watercolouring, always seem to hold back with dissatisfaction. Maybe I need to try watercolour and pencil. The look you have achieved is so eye catching, love it.

Your large peony is gorgeous Erika!! Your cards are always so vibrant and beautiful with bold colours. Great work!
I know you love big blooms, Ericka, and you always do such a great job coloring them. This peony is gorgeous and you even did the background. I always hesitate on doing that for fear of messing up the flowers.
